Breaking ground.

Transforming asset management.
PROBLEM
Caterpillar needed a better way to monitor machine performance in the field to cut long-term maintenance costs and avoid costly downtime. The solution had to tie together multiple wireless sensors on each machine, stream real-time data to control modules, and still meet Caterpillar’s demanding standards for durability, reliability, and performance in harsh environments.
SOLUTION
Morey engineered a rugged CAN transceiver that uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to create a secure, two-way data bus between onboard sensors and control modules. This architecture enables each machine to transmit performance data in real time—without radio frequency interference—so Caterpillar can spot trends, predict failures, and schedule maintenance before issues take machines out of service.
OUTCOME
With a more reliable stream of machine health data, Caterpillar can move from break-fix service calls to planned, proactive maintenance—helping reduce unplanned downtime, extend asset life, and improve overall fleet productivity.
